What does Brad Pitt have to do with Union you wonder? After flying to France to install a desk made for Angelina Jolie, Frank Pollaro discovered that Brad Pitt was a talented furniture designer. The two eventually became partners in a new venture called Pitt Pollaro. Mr. Pitt has graced Union with his presence many times over the years that the Pollaro shop was in Union.

Pyro Plastics Corporation of Union has supplied countless model and toys to kids of all ages. Headed by Bill Lester who invented the modern injection molding process. The company moved to Union in 1960 onto what is now Brighton St. and was sold in 1972.
