The legendary Grace M. Durling aka "Ma Durling" poised next to her evil weather machine or perhaps just the UHS vacuum tube powered intercom system complete with phonograph. Miss Durling was the principal of UHS from 1923 to 1956. She was also for a period of time the boys basketball, baseball and football coach as well as the coach for the girls basketball team. UTHS trustee Lore Ullrich recalls shaking in her boots as Ma Durling would march through the hallway.
